Living Education: Levels of Certification Level I - To understand the basics of Living Education
- Be able to clearly describe the medicine wheel, and the educational dimensions of the four directions
- To have experience in teaching
- To be able to blend together two of the approaches within your teaching style
Level II - To have practiced Living Education for 1 year
- 100 hours of teaching experience, using Living Education principles
- To be able to blend in another discipline into class work, writing, music, dance, theater, healing, meditation, etc.
- To have done a two day meditation retreat, or vision quest for 1-4 days, and having practiced meditation for 1 year
- To be able to blend all 4 approaches within a class smoothly
- Be able to organize a course, and lead it
- To be able to introduce meditation to a group of people
- Be comfortable in the wilderness
Level III - Two years of practice in Living Education
- To have mastered another discipline, practice, art, etc.
- Has led a vision quest, or equivalent
- 3 years of meditation practice
- Speak another language
- Be able to play an instrument, do theatre act
- Be able to ru a sweat lodge, and to build it
- Know how to make a course plan for an 8-month long course
- Run and organize a weekend course on your own
- Have at least one piece of clothing that you have made, or designed
- Run a level 2 Living Education course
- Be able to smoothly disappear within a group
- To understand the level of creation of a course or program, and be able to think creatively about creating one.
