Methods:
EcoLeadership™ Training Our programs gives you the personal skills, and the group facilitation skills to include long range planning, and vision, with the day-to-day issues and concerns of leaders. These programs are designed to assist directors, managers, team leaders, teachers and facilitators in private and public sectors. These programs are interactive, practical and focus on developing personal and business skills including team leadership, change management, communications, facilitation, planning, critical thinking and creativity.
Our programs focus on building leadership capacity in four interrelated areas self, team, and organization/environment. Leadership requires a systemic approach and an understanding of the interdependencies and connections between different systems. For this reason our approach is based upon a systems approach.
Self
The key component of the Ecoleadership system is you. If individual leaders do not have the core leadership and personal capacity to be a leader then it is unlikely that they will be truly successful in the long run. This requires an understanding and awareness of your strengths and weakness, clarity of personal vision, an ability to be creative and curious, an understanding of others, and a sense of what your personal brand of leadership is!
Team
leaders must be able to engage and generate passion in others and within teams. This requires an understanding of team leadership and dynamics and an ability to build an environment which maximizes the abilities of all team members.
Results
At the end of the day, leaders must produce results. This level demands leaders who can align individual and team efforts with higher-level objectives. Leaders at this level must be able to measure performance, improve processes, and work within the organization to create an environment which will allow individuals to be successful.
Organization, Community, Environment
At this level, leaders are concerned with strategic direction, adding value, and with the external environment. They have the skills and capacity to position themselves and their teams to maximize value today and in the future. They are ever watchful of the changing world and are able to take proactive action to ensure the long term viability and effectiveness of the teams they lead.
